Summer Study Cycle:
I just quizzed for 8 months, why should I start studying for
next year?
First of all, the main reason for quizzing is so that youth study the bible. So
many of our activities in the church do not encourage people to open up the
Bible. Quizzing is one of the exceptions. So just like you benefited greatly in
your life by learning Acts (and Romans and James......), staying in God's word
over the summer will help you the rest of your life.
As for quizzing, getting familiar with the material will make
studying a lot easier come quiz time. It's not easy to successfully cram for a
quiz. If you already know the material, you can focus on things that will
improve your quizzing skills like jumping quicker, looking for key words, memory
work, and getting good at according to questions.
The good news is this year there are only 528 verses to
learn. Acts had 1004.
Start studying early. Spend a week on each chapter over the
summer. Life is better when you're in the Word of God. You will also find
yourself to be a much better quizzer next year.
If you study just 6 verses a day, you can cover all the
material before the first quiz.
